These Terms govern your use of the Cynnes app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Cynnes is operated by Christopher Li ("we", "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

If you downloaded Cynnes from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies as the App Store license unless a custom license is attached to the listing. These Terms are additional service terms for the Cynnes account, website, AI features, and subscription. They are an agreement between you and Christopher Li, not between you and Apple.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Cynnes, and able to form a binding agreement. You represent that you are not located in a region subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting region, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

2. Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity under it.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Cynnes on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing where Apple allows it. You may not copy, reverse engineer, rent, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law or those Usage Rules.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You own the content you create (notes, photos, and details you record about people). You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the app for you. You are responsible for the information you record about other people and for using the app lawfully. Do not use Cynnes to harass, harm, or unlawfully collect information about anyone. You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data service agreement, when using the app.

5. AI features

Cynnes uses AI to generate titles and tags for your notes, turn a story you submit into suggested person-card details, and interpret voice commands. Suggested details can be inaccurate or incomplete and are shown for your review before saving. AI features are provided "as is."

6. Subscriptions and billing

After guided setup, ongoing use of the iPhone app requires an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. There is no free trial. If you subscribe:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage, restore, or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Apple shows your local price and any eligible introductory offer before purchase. Introductory pricing is limited by Apple's rules (typically one intro per subscription group per Apple ID) and is not promised to every account.
• US list price is currently $3.99 per month. Prices may vary by region and are always shown by Apple at purchase.

7. Maintenance, support, and claims

Christopher Li, not Apple, is responsible for providing maintenance and support for Cynnes. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support. Christopher Li, not Apple, is responsible for product claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability claims, failure to conform to legal requirements, and claims under consumer-protection or privacy law, to the extent permitted by applicable law. In the event of a third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, Christopher Li, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app: no reverse engineering except where the law allows, no attempts to breach security or access others' data, no automated abuse of our services, and no unlawful or infringing content.

9. Termination

You may stop using Cynnes and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users. This license is revocable.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Cynnes is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. If Cynnes fails to conform to any applicable warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These Terms do not limit liability beyond what applicable law allows.

11. Apple as third-party beneficiary

You and we acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these App Store license terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce those terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
